Human Tooth Development

Ok, I've been looking around and have found several medical articles regarding the various times kids lose teeth, but I wanted to ask for personal experiences.
I just can't remember when my other kids lost their molars and got the adult ones in.
My youngest son is 11 years old, and I *thought* he was done losing baby teeth, but now I'm not so sure.
One of his teeth, that had a filling put in it about 3 years ago, had what looked like a bubble above the gumline (this is his upper second premolar, the 2nd tooth past the canine). It was not causing him any pain, but I planned to take him to the dentist about it anyway.
Last night he said it popped, and now it looks like there is a new tooth coming in above the molar, but the molar isn't lose and doesn't appear to be going anywhere. I just took a closer look, and it looks like the molar has just cracked (the one that has a filling in it already)
I'm going to call the dentist tomorrow and see if I can get an appointment, but I'm wondering if anyone can remember the normal age to finish losing baby molars?

Here's some info on primary teeth--

He's still at the right age. Most kids don't get braces until they're about 12 or 13 for that reason-- because they're still losing their teeth. Unless you're like me who wiggled mine like crazy and got my braces when I was 9!
Some kids loose their teeth pretty young. I remember lots of kids having braces in Grade 6 - which would be age 11.

I on the other hand, had 6 baby teeth pulled by an oral surgeon between the age of 14 and 15, then finally got braces at 16. Thankfully I got the nice white braces that you can hardly see, but it sucked.

I was an extreme case - at least that's what they said - but it's nothing to worry about if a kid is slower to loose their "baby teeth".
Thanks for the replies. I think what is throwing me off is that I'm pretty sure my older kids lost their teeth earlier....
It can really vary, even within a family's children. I had my last
baby teeth pulled when I got my braces and I was almost 16. I
also had 6 adult teeth pulled and my wisdom teeth to boot. My
6 siblings all had their adult teeth by 12. My brother and I also
are the proud owners of a second set of wisdom teeth. Strange,
but true.
As for the bump on your son's gum - Ian had one of those too.
In fact he had one twice at the same place. It did finally go
away totally about a year and a half ago, and now he is getting
a tooth there above a baby tooth. I wonder if that is common?
He still has several baby teeth and he will be 14 in Feb. Odd how
he is maturing so fast in other ways, but his teeth are a little slow.
My older than the hills dentist once told me the longer it takes,
the stronger the teeth will be. Don't know if that is true all around,
but so far it has been true for me!
