Just when I thought I was not a blubbering idiot

We happened to watch a video from 2000 that had our beloved Katrina "Sheepie" in it before she passed away in 2002. And Hannah as a PUPPY.

I was so proud of myself that I wasn't a blubbering idiot. My husband and I were both able to watch it and appreciate the time we had with her and enjoy her antics. Well that was Sunday. Today looking at all of the posts, I can't help BAWLING and being sentimental about her.

I just still miss her so much. We were remembering how she used to back her but up to us and make a noise like a UPS truck for us to scratch her hips. She had such a personality and was such a poser that she'd sit on the couch and prop her arm (paw) up on the couch arm. It was so funny. She was such a joy.

RIP dear Katrina, you are so loved, missed and appreciated.

Oh I know what you mean. I still get very misty when I think of our german shepherd. And my cat Cleo.

But do try to remember that the ones we love never leave us, but leave a permanent mark on our hearts. Though we miss their earthly presence we can always remember all the fun times we had when they were here.

And jeepers! Who else can smile when they hear a UPS truck back up? :)

Best wishes
Nic
No your not the only one that gets like that too, I have not even got around to watching a video of peppa as we lost her early last year. I still bawl at my other sheepie too, we lost him in 1988 and pictures still make me weepy as the memories of both flow strong, I laugh and cry at the same time. :?

That is the way it is, they really are such a huge part of our lives and we miss them every day.
 I had a cocker spanial once, Buffy, that was the most amazing dog. He grew up with my kids and died 10 years ago at the ripe old age of 13. I can still get weepy when I think about how much I loved that dog!!!
Oh sweetie, I know how you feel. When my ex died last month, the kids and I broke out old videos of when we were married and the kids were little. There was a video of my first sheepie Cupcake (who died in 1991). I was sobbing all over the place.

They never leave our hearts.
We lost our "special boy", Thor, a few days before Christmas. I still can't believe that it will be 3 years soon. Even though we had him for 16 wonderful years, it is still so sad knowing that he is no longer with us. We just love our 2 boys so much right now, but the sorrow is still there for Thor.

RIP Thor.
