Trimming the hair on the head

Can anyone give me tips on trimming the fur on the head? Walter looks like he has a bowl cut/mullet and I would like it to look fluffier and rounder! Thanks!

Me too!!! Guinness looks like I trimmed him with a food chopper!!! I would like his head to be round. I know it takes practice but my poor baby!!!
I think that there is a delicate point in which you can either trim and keep it short all around for a nice even circle or just let it grow more everywhere on the head and round it out then, but the waiting is the hard part. I think for the most part, it's really all or nothing. I think any face trimming with long hair on top is gonna give you a mullet-like effect.

Clyde looks kind of Beatle-esque right now because his bangs are growing out and they flop over his eyes. However, I know if I trim it, it'll be worse later so he's suffering through it for a month or so more until his hair can all go back.
I clipped my dogs always in a specific style. The body hairs short, the front and back legs longer, so that it looks like they have nice bear-legs. And the head like a round ball. To achieve this i clipped it excatly like when u go to the hair dressers, layer for layer. Then i fluffed it up, to give the finishing clip.

Doing it this way takes very long, but i always liked the result.
