I WAS SURE SHE WAS DEAD

Molly was running about like crazy, chasing a small dog having a great game, the other dog ran down the slope to the beach molly thought she would take the short way and jump of the beach path, its a 15 foot drop or more!! and rocks are there to,i could not look i was sure she was dead, everyone ran over to look then came back to me and said she was still chasing other dog,i was so so scared, when i had stop shaking so much i went and looked where she jumped and a man was sitting there having his lunch i said "did you see a dog jump of here" he said "a big fluffy thing, yes she came over my head hit the ground running and was off up the beach"
i could not belive she missed the rocks, when she came back i was still sure SOMETHING must be broke but she was fine,
she stays on lead now till we are ON beach,
only a OES can do something like that,

I know how you feel. Puddy decided to jump out of the bed of a moving truck one evening  . I knew for sure he was a goner, but not a scratch or broken bone. Guess they are either lucky or more athleticly built than we think. Glad all is okay though. I learned my lesson like you, the hard way (or make that the scary way)
not very good photo but this is the beach she jumped on to,

Jacky,

How scary for you! I can't even imagine how you felt. It's a miracle she wasn't hurt!

Of course, the emotional scar for you will be another story!

Jacky,

How awful you must have felt and I can only imagine your feeling of dread when you looked over the cliff/hill. I am so happy and relieved that things turned out for the good. Just get the willies just thinking about it.

Marianne

PS. Give Molly an extra big hug from me tonight.
i no wat u mean when u say they seem indestructible my puppy runs round like crazy over the lounge and sometimes he decides to jump off the back which is about a meter drop onto floorboards 8O :o and he lands on his face eveytime and everyne will rush over and fuss over him abd hell get up and keep running :?
Jacky- I am so glad Molly is OK. Your heart must have been pounding out of your chest  Amazing that she did not get hurt, her doggie angel was watching out for her

This reminds me of when my kitten tried to get in my bedroom window - he'd done it several times so I closed it so that he doesn't wake me up... and he got on the windowsill, and jumped at the top window to try and get in, except he didn't realise it was closed... and he fell off the windowsill - I was TERRIFIED as I'm quite a way off the ground (he gets in via next door's conservatory roof)
I opened the window to look out, I saw him rolling around on the ground on his back, so I rushed downstairs, before I could get the back door open, he came strolling in through the cat flap and started whining for some dinner

They put us through such torture don't they
Not that it's at all similar in height or scope but...I had Walter on a bench (about 1 foot high) to see if he could walk across it. Of course, I'm standing right there...anyway, he gets to the end, and i give him a treat. So he sits down to enjoy it, still doing a great job of balancing on the bench, when all of a sudden, he decided to roll off...PLOP...looked mildly stunned, but only because his treat had fallen too!!

I'm glad your little cliff-diver didn't get hurt!
