Dean Ornish

I was wondering if anyone out there follows the "Dean Ornish" diet? After doing alot of reading I have decided to give it a "go". I don't eat red meat so taking the next step and giving up fish and chicken shouldn't be too difficult. The toughest part is giving up FAT AND SUGAR  Since french fries are my FAVORITE food there will be some grieving going on.

Anybody have any GREAT vegatarin recipes to share?

My son is a vegetarian. Has been for about 5 years. When he was young, he battled IBS. In high school he had a vegetarian girlfriend and did it for her. When they broke up, I thought he would go back to meat, but didn't. When I asked why, he said he feels great and never gets those terrible bowel cramps.

I've made many, many vegetarian dishes for him. I sort of just make them up as I go along. But, he is not "fat" restricted. He likes lots of milk shakes, fries, etc. Anything, as long as its "never had a face".

You have be careful of things that you would never know had meat products, ie: marshmellows, jello, etc.

My son says the only thing he misses are gummy bears (gelatine).

If you have any particular recipes in mind, let me know, and I'll get it for you. Good luck!
