is it bobbed @ birth or shortly there after or do they not have any tails ?

In the U.S. it is bobbed at birth, either by surgery or by the "rubber band" method. In other locations, OES are shown with their natural long tails. In many European countries, dog breeds are shown in their natural state -- they do not dock tails or clip their ears (boxers, dobermans, etc.). I have never heard of an OES born with no tail, but I guess it's possible, though rare.
