Where do you like to shop?

I was just looking at Joahaoyo's post and I was just getting excited about Holiday shopping. It's one of my favorite times of the year.

I'm actually one of those brave ones that loves the warehouse shopping.

COSTCO is my FAVORITE. I can't usually leave there spending less than $300.

So, I was just wondering what places you guys like to shop at.

I don't know how you can get everything down to one thing. I'm not even going to try.

These days though, I have to put in my plug for H & M for clothes-- both fun and work. There's super cheap and really cute. I also like Ruehl No. 925, especially their signature perfume. I got it for my birthday and I've been wearing it everyday. For the most part, I get most of my things otherwise from Lord and Taylor (Robinsons-May to you west coasters) since my mom works there and the discounts can't be beat! She stashes things away that I like until they're super marked down so I get them for next to nothing. She works for Estee Lauder so I never pay for makeup either. Last year, the day after Christmas she came over with about $700 worth of Christmas tree ornaments for me that cost her about $65. I love my mom. :) I'm encouraging her to quit and move to Nordstrom's though because I like their shoes better. ;)
Going to Nordstrom can be very dangerous for me, expensive jeans are a very guilty pleasure of mine.
My fave used to be a local chain called

Building #19.

When I was in Vegas, I got $200 7 for All Mankind Jeans for $59. Even with my mom's discount, you can't beat that!
E-BAY

I don't buy ANYTHING without checking e-bay first

Bidding on a FLAT SCREEN TV right now!
I don't have lots of extra $, so haven't been able to buy fun things iN a while

Here is my list of favorite things:

Clothes- Talbots, Kohls

Shoes- DSW, Talbots, Target (yeah, yeah, but they're CHEAP!)

Furniture- Wait, you mean some people can afford to buy that stuff new?????? If I could I'd buy everything from Ethan Allen. I love their historical collections. I love antique furniture too.

Groceries- the local farm markets if I can, Cub Foods. Byerlys if I want something top tier. I keep trying to remind myself to check out the local butcher and dairy. I feel everyone should try to support their local mom and pop stores!!!

Gifts- all over. I usually do some amazon/ebay ordering. I like to look at local stoores too. Mike always ends up with something from best buy or electronics boutique (read video games)
I am probably one of the few girls that really hates shopping!!

Although a nice day out for my husband & I is to go out antiquing over an hour away.

I do also use ebay a lot. It's great to compare pricing. I actually buy a lot of printing supplies off of ebay too.

And of course, everything else I use Amazon through OES.org!
I hate actually shopping too. You'll never see me excited about actually going to the mall UNLESS it's shopping for baby clothes or maybe non-clothing items. It's a struggle for me to buy new clothes. I hate having to try stuff on, and I get easily frustrated when I can't find something, so I just give up. We have a group of girls that go weekly, and I just can't do it ...even if it's always for baby clothes.
EBAY and Walmart.... If the don't have it, then I start worring.

She asked WHERE we LIKE to shop...these are my top picks, not my only ones...lol
Just about everywhere...LOL

I'm always on the look out for a sale, and try to look everywhere if I'm looking for that special thing.

I recently went to alot of stores putting together a 30 yr anniversary gift for my aunt. None of the pieces matched, but after I was done it all went together...victorian ecletic, cream tea pot, 2 serving plates, and cream and sugar dishes...then some unique biscuts and cookies to finish. She LOVED it.

I think tho my absolute favorite thing to shop for is unique, one of a kind things. That takes me into alot of different places...esp used stores, I love to look through antique places, and bargain hunting....you really can find that treasure.
I am a major IKEA junky! I am like the commercial with the guy buried in all the bags.

Walmart for everyday stuff.

ebay to check prices and buy unusual things.

I also love auctions!
I love antiques too. We have a few antique malls here.

I like Kohls, Robinson's May, Macy's, Target, Walmart, DSW, etc.

Some of the stores you guys have we don't have.

We have two really cool outdoor popular malls with Pottery Barn & Williams Sonoma and really cool other stores too like Anthropologie and just tons of really neat stores. These are favored by the locals. So if you guys end up visiting here I'll let you in on the secret. Top secret unless you visit. :go:

That's funny about Nordstroms. We have a Nordstroms rack. Now do you want to come visit?

For food when we have a farmer's market it's usually in a parking lot on Saturday mornings, but yes I believe in supporting the local mom and pops especially since my Grandma and family were farmers. We have Trader Joes and Wild Oats and Whole Foods. Our whole foods is really expensive but awesome. I love trader Joe's though, you leave there not spending much but have a lot to eat when you get home. Where as, when you go to the grocery store and get home and don't have anything to make but have spent tons of money.

Unfortunately one of the not so fun to go to stores that gets a lot of my money is Office supplies. I guess that means business is good.
