Every so often, I get the itch to buy buy buy!!! I can't stop.

These are the things I've bought recently, but I want to buy more OES/Maltese stuff! this seller has an entire collection of ornaments, and last year I bought every item! All just like the ones below. I need more stuff to buy to fit into my collection.

Anyone have the itch? I want to do christmas shopping!!!!

I love that wall plaque.
I myself have been on a clothes buying kick for Chili.
She is already freezing at temps in the low 70's.
She didn't even want to go outside yesterday, even with her t-shirt on. I had to force her. It was also quite windy though.
I just bought this too. I'm terrible!!!

Stop!!!! Stop!!!!

Oh forget it...seems you enjoy buying those things! Hey if you've already purchased the items and still feel the need just send them to me!!
:bulb:

Just love the collection J, I can see why they were hard to resist!

Marianne and the boys
I say GO FOR IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :cheer:
 you suck tasker's mom

If you get tired of buying for yourself..buy for me!
Buying for others is fun too! This is the first time I've bought something for myself in a year. I'm usually too busy buying for Mr. J and lil J. Hopefully the urges calm down. Yesterday, Yuki got $60 worth of new toys. Then again.. toys are expensive at Petco, so it wasn't really that many. She told me she needed them to get her mind off her daddy.
They're all awesome!! :)
I'll pm you my address and I am sure you will send them right over huh?

Can't help ya J, I have the same problem, maybe we need a self help group started LOL :? 8)
I don't blame you, I like everything you bought too. I especially liked the sheepie angel peeking over the cloud. Who's the artist? Is it a limited edition? I wouldn't mind buying one of those myself.

You deserve to treat yourself and shouldn't feel guilty at all. You've been through a lot. And if a little shopping spree cheers you up, there's nothing wrong with that. It's OK to treat yourself. And especially if it's once a year.

KEEP SHOPPING.

Self help implies that something is wrong and there is never anything wrong with shopping... ever.
LVSL, I just went to ebay and typed Old English sheepdog ornament :)
LOL, I need more walls and more shelves at home, crickeys there creeping in to every inch of the house. Glad my other half does not notice and when he does I just say "geez there been there forever"
I've been looking for this cup FOREVER!! Every time we go to a dog store, I look for this mug, but they have every breed but mine! I love THE DOG collection. Just wish I could find the doormat and t-shirt too.

Anyway, I guess I've spent a lot today.

Image
I love THE DOG stuff too! Can the mug be ordered from their website? I think we all need it.

This weekend I spent $300 on clothes. The majority of my clothes were at least 5 years old and looking rather dated. I also spent over $100 on rubber stamps for my "creative" hobby. Oddly enough, Bob the Wonder Pony got nothing new. But the vet is coming Wednesday for his semi-annual shots so I guess that's his present.
paula o, I don't know? I've only looked at stores around the mall and dog festivals ...and just a few places online. I've never found their website while searching. There was 1 left on ebay, I think.

funny because I view yearly dental cleanings as presents to them. I don't think the furkids think of it that way

I did just buy a lot of boy clothes for lil j online.
I'm sooooooooooooooooooo bad and need to stop!! I just bought a box set of 21 Baby Einstein DVDs on ebay. They have a $300+ value, but I'm paying $50. I hope I don't win anything else I already bid on.
Found it!

www.thedogonline.com

Bottom of the products page is mugs. I wonder if we can get a bulk discount.
Oh cool, thanks! I'll get the travel mug for Mr. J ...and some other stuff for me! If anyone still wants a cup, it's a "buy it now" on ebay right now and the total price "with shipping" will come out just a few bucks cheaper.

edit: WHY did you show me this website!! You have no idea how much I've spent!!
I wonder if people complained THE DOG would make more stuff for OES'. They don't even have a plush animal. :(

Anyways, I'm getting this and sending it to MR. J.

WOW YOU ARE GOING TO TOWN, AREN'T YOU!!!!

Lucky girl, shop away. I have no $$$ right now  I'll be getting my shopping in during my girls week trip to FL in a few more weeks though! Till then, I can only admire.
I LOVE the must be approved by the dogs???the wall plaque, I want one of those.

I LOVE shopping, sorry can't help you stop. I keep buying the baby eintstein toys for a baby we don;t have. I justify it by saying we have babies in the family that can play with them. However I just bought two gently used sleepers...newborn. LOL I am soooo bad at waiting.
Funny I just saw this thread! I am no help at getting you to stop shopping. I was just looking online for OES Christmas stockings. Found some cute ones if you're interested. :D

Also, just found a site that has OES scrubs for anyone in the medical field who might like them. :)
They are all so cute! If you run out of room for all of your purchases, email me, and I'll send you my address to help you unload some
You guys are horrible for me. I'm shopping on overstock now. I remember being in a briefing that said it was common for wives to spend a lot of cash the first month their husband was gone. At least that's an excuse for me to spend more. :?

I saw the OES scrubs if you found them on ebay. Thought it would be perfect for my SIL, but then realized it was only Mr. J and I who liked OES' ...let alone "yuki."

Daisie, awe.. . I think I would have bought some clothes too if I was anxietly waiting like you. I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO ITCHING TO BE PREGNANT! I was bummed when I wasn't when I recently thought I was (by accident, not trying). I want another lil J!!!
Hey, that mug rocks!
I'm so upset. I fell asleep, so missed out on bidding on another OES ornament. I would have had combined shipping too.
Someone passed this on to me, so I thought I'd share it here in case anyone is interested.

Everything is a dollar at this website. Shipping is $7, but it still may be worth it for those who buy a lot.

Hi Everyone- If you haven't already heard about this... This new line of makeup called E.L.F (eyes, lips and face) and it is getting ready to launch at Bloomingdales. As a promotion right now, everything on their website is one dollar. Even if you don't want the make-up, their brushes are still only a dollar. It is really cool. Happy shopping!!!

You know I had to spend money. I just customized my own compact (contains blush eye shadow, and lip gloss). Thank goodness, this isn't sephora, or I'd be going wild.
Do you think the "Master Set" would be a nice present for a 24-year old Niece in NYC?

Detailed list:
http://www.eyeslipsface.com/elfshop/mas ... etails.asp

It may be a bit more than we want to spend, though...
what is fun, is playing with a big set like that. the possibilities are endless! my friend said she loves the set she made, and will buy the refills, but if you were asking me what I would get for a 240yo niece, I would go to sephora.com!!! That's definitely what the girls I know love. :) I can't recommend this makeup until I try it myself :)
Ron,

I wouldn't buy her make-up..that's a personal thing. Some makeup feels better than others.

A gift certificate for her favorite product...that would be cool.
i love getting stuff like that for gifts...thats the stuff you love but dont want to buy for yourself!! I think its a great idea!
Being a "non makeup person" I'd LOVE it if someone gave me something like that. I am clueless as to what to buy, it would be fun to "try stuff"!!
When people have bought me make-up or perfume...ewww, not my color, not my scent. I never had the "right" stuff picked. But I suppose in a large set like that she would have her favorite to chose from.

I LOVE bath stuff, salts, oils, bubbles, manicure stuff, pedicure stuff.
I would say go for it, as long as it is hypo allergenic. If she has sensitive skin, the whole thing may not be usable if it isn't. Ask her mom (or a sister if any) if she is picky about makeup brands... I'll wear pretty much anything that doesn't make me break out (hives). Some gals are much pickier. With a big set like that, there are bound to be some favorite colors in there!

Otherwise, if she has a hobby or favorite store, go with that! I usually ask for house stuff from my aunts and uncles... but I'm practical! (sorta  )

Me too... I've never worn makeup much.... mostly because I'm not sure what to go with and I hate the feel of it...
LOOK WHAT I JUST WON ON EBAY!!! (actually I snatched it right under someone else who has a sheepie handle, so hopefully it wasn't someone here)

It cost a lot, so that's definitely it for this month. I can't wait for it to come in the mail!

He measures 19" tall, 43" nose to tail, with a 14" wide head (ear to ear), and large enough for lil J to ride!!! :)

JUST ADORABLE!!!!!!!!!!!! Perfect for Lil J!!!!!!!!!!!!
Awww, that is so cute.

I have an ebay sheepie handle but it wasn't me.
Way too cute! He will love it.
We got granddaughter Breanna a horse similar to that for Christmas and she still plays with it, rides it, brushes it! It was one of the best toys I ever bought. It was worth every penny :D .
:) if you dont have inaf spaces in your home for that just send it to me :)
Everything is starting to come in, and I'm totally not disappointed! They look so much prettier in person. I can't wait to put up a tree. Ohhhhhhhhhh, I still have to buy a tree. Maybe on QVC...
LMAO @ Mrs. J

Should we start a support group for Shopaholics?

I too have a sheepie name on ebay but it wasn't me bidding on it. I am afraid if I brought something like that home London would tear all the hair out of it and try to wrestle with it.
WOWZA love the supersized sheepie, lil J is going to love it, pictures what Yuki thinks of the new Dog and of course Lil J riding it.

I hate e-bay, gawd if I buy another sheepie thing on it, we will need to extend the house. LOL When is the support group starting ??????? 8)
lol, I hate the addiction! I get such a high off of bidding, but when I see the total in the My Ebay Summary of what I've spent for the month... my high turns into regret.
You could try that OTHER exhilarating feeling.... actually SELLING something on eBay!!! :D :D :D
Yeah, I used to do that. Got a high off of that too ...whenever someone would bit on my item, but that takes a lot more work. I will once I find out the gender of our next baby. If it's a girl, I'll sell all of lil J's clothes ...unless there's someone that's needs it.

Bad thing is shipping is VERY expensive from/to AK
If you move to Norway I will show you all the good shops ..... :D

8O ARE YOU TRYING TO TELL US SOMETHING????????? :plead:

USPS doesn't charge that much more, do they?

Shocked ARE YOU TRYING TO TELL US SOMETHING????????? Pleading

Just that I'm ready for another one, I think...
I just checked my mail and there was a letter from my husband. He sounded so depressed. Last time he went, if he was sad, you wouldn't have known because he hid everything from me to protect his mom and me from worrying too much. The letter didn't say anything scary, rather...but I could read between the lines. It was very hard to read. :(

He said he was asking to take his R&R in March. What I had asked him to get. I'm afraid that's too soon, and then it will be even more difficult for me to get through the rest of the year.

I don't know the difference. Just that my parents and in-laws send stuff all the time that way, and complain about the cost. When my mom sent over baby clothes I got from friends when I was pregnant, each box was $40-60. Sometimes I'm surprised that mail is cheap, other times it's outrageous here.
The shopping bug is still ongoing LOL, I had a friend from Overseas come on the weekend and she has moved into a smaller home, so she is downsizing all her OES stuff, this is what she brought over for me, so was surprised and thrilled with what she passed onto me.

Then also this is my latest addition from E-bay, always wanted a Mantle Clock for above the Open Fire Place, so whay not one with Sheepies on it. LOL

Image

My hubby just laughed and said Geez more stuff, yep I think we need a bigger house as we are running out of walls and shelfs. :? 8)

No more e-bay, well at least not for a little while :P
Well if your husband thinks you have too much, put it on ebay. I'll bid! The clock would look perfect on lil J's dresser. :D

Our house is small, so I imagine it'll start to look tacky at some point, but I don't care. We already have the reputation as the crazy dog people. :)
If you must spend, purchase things for others in need. Like orphans, the homeless, senior's, etc......... They're always in need of something.

That way you can enjoy doing what you (spending), and bless others through the generous gifts you'd be giving.
I do agree with that 100%.

We give weekly to our church. Also, I volunteer a lot. I won't go into detail because it's not important. This is just for fun. :yay: ...and it's hard to stop. Honestly, giving more of our money to a charity, etc doesn't create the same high as buying toys for lil J or sheepie ornaments!!!
Lisa: LOVE the things your friend gave you! The couch and clock my favorites. :D Enjoy!
Thanks Helen the couch one is my favourite too, reminds me of my girls, couch potatos, except only one on each couch as they spread out and make no room for anyone else. 8)

The clock, well could not resist that one, so lovely and made of Pottery. :D

She also brought over other stuff, which she donated to the state OES Breed club as next year we have our big Auction dinner night to raise funds for the breed here in Victoria, so lots of nice OES goodies up for auction to help there. Always buy stuff through the year to donate and help the club too.

I am a sucker for Cute OES stuff
