Pictures of my new girl Daisy
I guess I've had Daisy 3 weeks to a month now and she has really fit in well with our family. Ridley absolutely adores her, as a matter of fact so do I. Daisy was in a shelter in Harrodsburg, KY about 15-20 min away from Lexington. I drove down to get her and was running late because of traffic and weather. So late I thought the shelter was going to close before I got there! Thankfully a kind woman who worked at the shelter, met me with Daisy. Poor thing, when she jumped in the car she stank of bleach and the shelter. Her coat was in awful shape, not really matted because she had a short cut, but not just ragid looking. On the two hour trip home, she laid quietly in the car and didn't make a peep. Such an angel! The fun started when I got home, and Ridley went bananas! He was soooo excited, Daisy on the other hand wasn't.  It took about a week, a new haircut and a clean bill of health for Daisy to really get comfortable at our house. Now you can't tell she wasn't always there.

It reminded me of when I drove home from the shelter with Copper and he was curled up in the backseat so sweet and innocent and I think "safe". May you enjoy many happy years ahead! |
