False Pregnancy I think

Phoebe is acting weird. She started last night walking around with a stuffed sqeeker toy in her mouth and would not let it down. I can take it out of her mouth but she just stood there looking at me with pleading eyes to give it back. At first I thought she wanted me to throw it we play catch often. After I threw it she extremely gently picked it up and laid down with it under her neck.

When she went to bed she brought it with her last night.

This morning when we went out for potty she brought it with her and actually went potty with it in her mouth.

This morning she is lying down on her bed with it under her neck, when you take it away she cries.

She is spayed, any idea on what is going on?????

If she is spayed it's not a false pregnancy, the hormones simply aren't there to cause that.

Maybe she just really likes that toy?
She sounds very sweet. What does the toy look like?
Funny girl!!! If it's a stuffie maybe she has just taken a very strong liking to it!!!
I don't think she thinks it's a toy I think she thinks it's a puppy. She licks it carry's it everywhere. She even passed on a piece of Mc Donald Chicken tender after I pulled the toy from her mouth this time she didn't want to drop.

I am getting ready to make the vet trip it's very odd to me. It's just a stuffed sheep made of lambs wool I think. I have probably washed this thing 100 times already. She has had it for months I just keep replacing the sqeeker inside and sewing it back up
How old is she?
She will be 2 December 22
Well, I really haven't a clue. Maybe your vet will have an answer!!
I just think she is a bit clucky at the moment, not a false pregnacy as she is de-sexed, so you can rule Hormones out.

She has had that cute little baby Shih Tzu to fuss over, so maybe she is substituting the stuffie for the baby at the moment.

My girl Peppa, even though she was de-sexed had a very strong maternal instinct. She was clucky over little puppies, mothered them and she would also be clucky over soft toys too.

One time when we were in the waiting room at the vets, she was lying on the floor, a person came in with 3 little rottie babies, as we were all waiting, they snuggled into her belly and she spent the whole time cleaning and fussing over them. She was a great sheepie who mothered the other two girls when they were little. :hearts:

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA, I LOVE IT when I learn a new word!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! CLUCKY!!!!!!!!! Perfect!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The vet did blood work checked her out and I think you hit it perfectly she is CLUCKY. Maybe because of the new puppy but he said physically she is fine. She just looks a little funny carrying around a stuffed toy. He said she would most likely stop this in a few days and as long as she was not being aggressive everything would be fine

This is Phoebe being CLUCKY golly I love that word
I think it is adorable....like Darcy's Panda with her Baby.

And "Clucky"....what a great word that is. Not sure exactly what it means, but hey, some things are better left undefined!
How sweet!!

And ya know, I can remember feeling a bit CLUCKY a time or two MYSELF 8O
Clucky - like a hen. A hen is clucky when she is sitting on her eggs, displaying a nesting behavior. :D
yup, clucky describes it perfectly.....panda has her ''rough toys'', but her baby is special....she carries it around too, lays on it, sucks on it.....and it looks very similar to phoebes....I wouldnt worry.....its just clucky and cute :D
Awwww... what a sweet pic! :)
awww, that is just such a sweet picture.
How sweet!
I think that's sweet! She's a very girly girl. :)
