Dixie is a BRAT!!!

Anyone else have a little monkey for a sheepie? Dixie is getting out of control!!!

She has this new habit of ambushing Bosley every morning when we are getting up. It goes like this:

Me and the dogs get up and start down the stairs. Dixie races out all in a panic to be first, and flies down the stairs like a bullet. She waits, slightly crouched down on the bottom hallway, as Bosley slowly lumbers down with me. As soon as he hits the bottom floor she jumps him, and grabs him and drags him down to the ground. She is NOT gentle about it, either. It is getting so that Bosley (who is a big wimp, anyway), either hides behind me or refuses to come downstairs unless I restrain her...!

And she opens the kitchen door from the outside...The last couple of days I have discovered the back door wide open, shortly after I have put them out for potty. Dixie, the moneky again. jumps up and pulls the door metal handle down, and lets herself and Bosley in when she feels outside time is over. And she is so proud of her self, almost looks like she is laughing at me as she races around! Poor Bosley, is so easy going and slow...wouldn't even think of doing anything like that. He will just lay down by the door and wait for it to magically open.

Maybe it is the cooler air that is making her so frisky, but if so, we will have our hands full this winter!

But at nite, she still likes her close, sleepy cuddles with her dad on the couch...all inocent-like with those big, brown, eyes as she flutters her eyelids at him...What a little brat!

I am trying real hard not to laugh.. really.. I am...

Welcome to my world....or should I say.. Welcome to Dudley's world...

How about you ship Bosley to me and I will ship Murphy to you.. then we will each have two-of-a-kind.. I will have the gentle giants, you will have the wild beasts...
Either Suzi and Dixie are somehow related or they've been e-mailing each other!
There are many similar incidents going on at our house. One or both of them needs to have their computer priviledges suspended! :P

Bosley and Toby need to get together and come up with a defensive strategy! Poor Bosley! Does she hang on his tail at all? Suzi had hold of Toby's ear last night and he was dragging her around the floor! 8O I could just imagine what would happen if he had a tail!
Clyde wanted me to tell you to tell Dixie to quit doing his move! He's perfected the ambush and successfully clamps on to Bear's head every morning. Lucy is happy to no longer be the recipient of this maneuver. She used to get it after coming in from the dog door. Clyde would hide around the corner and grab her by the neck when she walked by. Clyde apparently finds beating on Bear much more satisfying. As an old lady, Lucy's too easy of a target.
Dixie and Avalon could be sisters! LOL Avalon ambushes Merlin ALL the time....she is a HUGE brat too. Poor Merlin....life was SO calm before Avalon
Ha ha ha. That's too funny.
OH GOSH this sounds familiar. Stella is not allowed on the bed cause that's Zak's last little chunk of freedom from this crazy girl, but of course every time he tries to get on the ottoman, to step his way up to the bed ( He can no longer jump on bed due to arthritis) of course, she gets up there first and blocks him with an evil grin.
She cannot STAND the fact that he can do something she cannot. She will be 3 rooms away, but at the first sound of his paws in the bedroom, she bolts in and stops him from the bed.
The funniest thing is how much pleasure she gets from it. Of course she also loves to place one paw or a chin on the mattress to test her chances of taking over the mountain.
Poor Zak.
Sounds just like Sky too... she's the bully in this house....
Does it count if your dog pounces on you????
Add Callie to the list of bullies... Her favorite is when I first get home and let them out of their crates.. sometimes I think that she and Lambda have been trash-talkin all day and by the time I get home Callie is ready to put some action behind her words... lol
Also when Lambda comes back in the house from going potty outside, Callie immediately grabs her by the back of the neck and carries her to the living room to tackle her.

What goofy bullies we have!

Nice try, Brenda...! But I don't think so! !!!!

YOU can have the savages, and I'll take the snuggly, wuggly, tame ones...I still have the crate that Dixie flew here in, and I'm sure she still fits in it to send her back!

I WANT DUDLEY... I WANT DUDLEY....
Sounds just like Rags!
Would put London up against Dixie any day. She is my monster puppy - nothing is safe from her including the big boys.

No Deal!!!!
   Hilarious!! You've gotta love those bratty sheepies!!!
"Sheepies just wanna have fu-un..." Why is it mostly girl dogs doing the attack????

As for door opening, only from the inside, it's known as blow thru the door. Please don't teach them how to open from the outside, it's Mom's time for rest.

I don't know about the rest of them, but I think the guys are just hen-pecked. Dixie is ONLY rough with Bosley.
She is so gentle and doesn't wrestle really with any other dog. And at the dog parks she stays with the quiet, submissive dogs, and just sniffs, runs, and rols around a bit.

While Bosley, on the other hand, is the first one to bull-doze any strange dogs who wants to wrestle. And he is quite fearless in public

So I think the gals like that are comfortable about ruling thier own roost, and the males, well, they just get used to it
