Not my Bill!!

On Wed. morning I knew I had to call our vet and make and appointment for Oscar. He had some kind of ear infection in his right ear. I asked my husband what time would be good for him to take Oscar and he replied any time was okay (he has a lot of flexibility in his job, whereas mine is a real 9 to 5 plus, situation). The vet gave us an appointment for the next day at 10:45am. When we got home that evening from work, we discovered somehow Dudley had cut the bottom eyelid on his left eye. Not a crisis, but something the vet would need to look at. We decided my husband would just take both of them with him when he went the next morning. After an ear cleaning, medicine and shots for Oscar (he was due in a few weeks) and an eye exam and medicine for Dudley the bill came to $282.00. Before he went to pay the receptionist he put both dogs in the van. When he came back out to the van he put the bill on the console in front of the radio. Dudley immediately grabbed it. Carlos looked at him and said "are you paying?" Dudley just dropped the bill.
This is an OES that lives for paper and this was an absolute first. Usually you have to do lots of coaxing and cajoling to get him to drop any kind of paper or cardboard. He knew he could not afford $282.00 and did not want that bill!! We are both still laughing over this.

What a riot! So there's the key phrase whenever Dudley gets paper - "are you paying?"
That's hilarious! What a character!! Who says they don't understand us when we talk? :P
LMAO :D

This reminds me of Fozzie's recent antics with his AKC registration papers. He took the letter I received from the AKC and chewed the bottom half of it up. I'm not sure if that was a dislike towards his new registration name "Movin' Right Along" or disgruntlement with the AKC. I'm glad he didn't actually chew up his certificate which I want to put in the scrapbook.
Ha! I have a friend just like that when it comes to restaurant bills...
Too funny   . Who says he doesn't understand english??!
Haha! Show him a calculator and see what happens . . . :cow:
