The Make Fun of Ron's Frustration thread

Well Ron, I think you're mostly right... they're wasting time and money, yours and theirs, with redundant paperwork.

However, I also think you kind of sound like a grumpy old man.

I live in small town and everyone is so nice and friendly and on time. Maybe that's the difference?

I asked the local drug store if they carried generic benedryl that I could get for Dixie. The Benedryl is almost $1 a capsul. I explained her dosage and they said they could get me some no-name at a quarter of the price, but I had to buy it in bulk...100 capsuls (at 2 a day it is 2 months worth) for $28. Hey, that was a great deal. Two days later I picked it up and they gave me a 10% discount because it was for my dog.

A bit ago I was running out so my husband went to order some more while he was filling his own prescription there. When he went to pick them up they had her actually registered in their computer next to his info, and will order a new one evey time I pick one up so I am never out. Plus they are now giving me a $10 discount...$19 for 2 months worth.

I love small towns...
I didn't think Milton was a small town 8O What is the population? I thought Lindsay was getting too big when it hit 20,000 though

When we moved here it was 32,000. probably close to 45,000 now. Surrounded by 425,000 Mississauga, and 350,000 Oakville and Burlington it is a small town. (We just got our own movie theater   !)

It is growing wayyyy too fast, but still has the small town, local culture. Maybe because it is a rural town, with farmers all around.

Speaking of waiting times, people from the surrounding cities come to our hospital because the waiting in emergency is normally under 1 hour. Compared to a 7 hour wait right next door. 8O And my husband is diabetic, and NEVER has to wait for his appointments at his doctor's. He will often call and say "can I come now?" and be back home in 30 minutes.
