Can anyone recommend a seatbelt for the car for Hendrix?

Good question! Me too? Recommendations for the Hendrix look a like here!
It is funny that you posted regarding seatbelts for your OES'. I was thinking about them the other day. I need to get two so when I take the dogs in the convertible I would feel better. They ride real well, but I would beel better with a seatbelt for them.
So glad you are asking this question :D
I was just wondering the same thing!
Have any of you bought/used...a doggy harness... in vehicle?
Is this what they usually look like?

We are getting a soft top Jeep!
I would hate to lose a pupper 8O
When we do some leaf looking in N GA Mountains.
Never can tell what might get their attention...
Might see a squirrel gathering nuts
Thanks for any tips!!
Diane...I will need *3*
We have a topless sports car, a soft top Jeep and a SUV. I have been concerned more about them jumping out then falling out so we only take the dogs in the SUV anywhere. Would love to find something that would work in the other vehicles, but Diane I can't see me getting them to stay still long enough to hook that type of harness up.

Does anyone else have any ideas?
I do! I do!

We bought a harness/seat belt for use in the convertible, and for when Bosley was young and jumped all over the place in the can...trying to get onto our laps. It is a harness-type with a detachable strap that just clicks into the seat belt in the car and connects to the harness. Keeps the dog attached to the car seat connection thingy. The strap is adjustable for length, so you can have it short and tight to the seat, or long-enough for the dog to lay down on the floor. Then you can snap the strap off the harness, and attach your leash to it, as there is a round, metal loop just for that. You can do that "before" you detach the dog from the car, so no more figthing in an open door to get the leash on.

It is soooo neat, not having to worry when opening and closing the door to put stuff in and out or let people in and o ut. Just click the dog in and he/she is safe and secure.

We bought it at Walmart for $14.99.
I use a harness for Frank when I took him to all of the dog shows. I just picked one up at the local Petco. It was heavy duty nylon with a soft fleece lining. It worked well, although I didn't get an actual accident to try it out on. (Knock wood)
We have friends who have 2 like the ones Bosley's mom described. I think they got them at Walmart too, actually. They are very pleased with theirs. They only had to watch that the puppy didn't chew at the seatbelt, while restrained!
I got Walter a seatbelt last year and it has been a life saver, he doesn't jumpinto my lap and pin my head against the window anymore!
