Hey guys... any ideas for a name for a female sheepie pup .... something for the registered name that goes with Sky...
Dancer's in Dancing Light.... so something Sky?

No one has any ideas? :(
Ok, free association time....

Rainbow Dancer's Dream
Dancer Aurora Borealis
Dancer Starlight Spirit

Believe it or not, right as I'm typing this, we're having a downpour with brilliant sunshine.... go figure.....

I ran outside... no rainbow :( sun is still too high in the sky, I guess.

Ok, back to the name thing....

Dancer Sun Prancer (Kind of a play on the whole Rudolph thing)
Dancer Airy Princess
Dancer Sparkle Light
Crystal Light Dancer

Need more springboards...
 ok, great ideas Ron, but Dancer already has a name!
What I need are name ideas for new puppy Sky. Something like Clear Blue Sky, stuff like that, but not that one...lol.....
Ok, I was kinda wondering why....

Gonna need more to go on than just "Sky"!
 Willowsprite I have been brain storming on the name since your post and all I kept on thinking was SkyLight  some others that I did think of just now are Skyler, Midnight Sky, Heavenly Sky  I will keep at it but Sky is pretty tuff. 8)
Sheesh my puter is slow at loading these pages today! :x
Anyway, thanks for trying ladies and gents...lol.... I really like the name Sky, but I too am having a hard time finding something to go with it for a registered name. It will be Tasia Hills ......... Sky oooorrr Tasia Hills Sky ..........
It can be more than one word... I just want it to sound right. Another idea I was thinking of is adding my own kennel name. I didn't with Dancer, so I probably shouldn't with this one. If I did it would be Tasia Hills Lakesong Sky or Tasia Hills Sky Lakesong. Other ideas I've gotten from people at work are Pearlescent Sky, Transcendant Sky, Grey Sky, Blue Sky, stuff like that... but nothing has stuck with me yet.
Now another one I thought of which might sound silly is Sun Chasing Sky.
That just came up because the original name I had thought of was Sunchaser.
Anyway, if you think of any more please post them! :)
Not your computer that is slow... the website is experiencing a little technical glitch at the hosting company... a fairly frequent but temporary thing, but the first in almost 10 days. You just caught it at the wrong moment. Hopefully you won't be bothered by it again.

What's the origin of "Lakesong"? Maybe that will be a springboard for someone.
If you decide on a pup with blue eyes - how about the "Blue Sky" suggestion! Tasia Hills Blue Sky - sounds pretty cute to me!

The other thing you could do was go on an astronomy website and see if you can come up with anything to go with "Sky".

When I was getting Blue, I was hoping I could choose her registered name myself. I wanted Aquilla Blue. (Aquilla meaning Beautiful). Unfortunately, the breeder already had her registered as My Bouncing Girl (a name I hate!) so I couldn't change it.

Anyway- how about Aquilla Blue Skye?
Good idea Kristen...
and Ron... I was wondering if it might have been a glitch with the site... but my puter has been doing that with a few oher sites today. Maybe just me being impatient because I'm home today with nothing really to do. The construction work behind my house is scaring Dancer today.... :x so she won't go pee, and I know she's been holding it a looong time. She's probably going to end up having an accident because of it, and she's been doing so well he last few days ... *sigh* I want to take her to a park or something to do some training with her but since I am home with my son who was suspended I can't really. That would be too much fun for him. I'll have to wait till hubby gets home.
But, I digress...
The name "Lakesong" has a funny origin actually. It was the first password given to me in the first chat I ever went to, and the only one I ever pop in to from time to time even now. Ten years ago, when TG Chat opened, they provided generated passwords, combining two random words. I love the word, it reminds me of what I love to do the most. Back home, the sunsets are so beautiful if you sit on one of the rocky peirs on one of the endless beaches and watch the sun lower below the horizon of blue rippling water. It just sparkles, and there are so many colors. I always thought that if I had to describe music to a deaf person I would show them a sunset at that beach.
Sappy huh? But true... and memories like that are what make me homesick the most.
So... to sum it up, when thinking of a kennel name, many years ago even though I have never actually bred a dog yet, lol, I attributed a word that represents something else I love as much as Sheepdogs.

I like that, what language does Aquilla come from? And is it pronounced a-kwi-la or a-kill-a?
It's Latin. Pronounced "ah-key-la". Have just been informed that it means "Eagle", not beautiful.

Still think it works, though.
I like it! :D Even more pronounced ah-kay-la actually.....
ok, i have been thinking about this for a while, all I can come up with is
sunrise sky, aqua sky, canvas sky (as in the stuff you pain on), rose sky, forever sky, moonlight sky, stardust sky, perriwinkle sky, glowing sky, respberry sky, vanilla sky (he he he), morning sky, and .... 8) still thinking! Hope it helps!
Hello,

I thought I would give this name suggestion a try. I came up with Tasia Hills Spirit in the Sky. I look forward to hearing what you choose. Stormi, Jack, and Annabelle
Great ideas everyone.... but still nothing is "sticking" if you know what I mean.
More ideas please! :)
Pirate picked,

"Lady Skylark"

Whatcha think?
i THINK THERE IS A PUPPY NAME FINDER WEB SITE YOU MIGHT TRY PUNCHING NAME FINDER IN YOUR SERCH ENGINE AND MABY SOMETHING WILL COME UP. GOOD LUCK
How about 'Spirit in the Sky' like the song?
Or something like "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds." That's obviously too long, but I don't know...
I've decided!
Tasia Hills Evening Sky :)
Love it!
Ditto.....I love it. Congratulations Sky, you now have a name. Have you decided yet? WHen you do, sometimes the breeder will start calling her by name so she is familiar with it when she comes home. So about 3 weeks, huh? The wait must be the worst! How far of a drive do you have to get her? We have had to drive hours a way everytime, but we have enjoyed it and made a vacation out of it. I can't wait to see pictures! Stormi and co.
I still haven't decided for sure. There are a few people who are experienced oes breeders who are looking at this litter, not necessarily all taking a pup, but interested because of the breeding itself. I'm also waiting to hear these more experienced people's oppinions on the pups, which one they think is best for us, though my breeders oppinion will be of the most importance, as she knows the puppies best.
I am stuck between two pups in particular.
The one in particular is already being called Sky on occasion, and has been since day one. I have actually talked to some of the puppies on the phone...lol.... the other one is being called Beans. LOL For now....
