Evil squirrel

Ok, this might sound silly, but we have a LOT of squirrels around here, they are fine for the most part, they've never bothered me before.
Until today.
A cocky lil squirrel has been scratching at my office window ALL day. He's driving me nuts. LOL
I went outside and took pics of him earlier, at first it was kind of cute... but then he gets scratching his little claws on my air conditioner, and then got between the screen and window and is staring at me scratching the glass and "chittering" at me!

Some pics are outside, some are right from my desk beside the window.

Naughty little cuss1 Squirrels went down in my estimation the year they ate all the buds off my mini roses in my apartment balcony window box. I was crushed, as they were the only flowers I had. When I caught I came rushing out onto the balcony yelling SQUIRREL!!!!! He just sat there nibbling on them looking at me funny.

Luckily the ones in my yard now are too busy eat acorns and walnuts to bother my flowers!
 I like them, they are cute, send it to me and you can
get the moouse from my garden :high5: :cow:
hahaha...he is clearly egging you on!! I love the one where he is pressed up against the window.....
I think he is trying to tell you something!

I'm not letting the dogs near it, all 3 dogs and also my two cats have been at the window pressing thier noses to it, and the squirrel whistles at them! It's nuts.
Looks like he is obsessed! What a brazen thing!

You need to borrow someone's sheltie for a few days!
OMG! I have to send this to my Mom, she will just die!

This of course might be an elaborated version since I was just a baby at the time. My Mom was sick upstairs in bed. She heard some noise in the kitchen and went down to see what it was. She found the kitchen clock on the countertop (clock had a little whole behind it). Went back up to bed, and heard the same thing. She came down to find a squirrel on the counter eating out of a bag of chips 8O She ran back upstairs and closed the door. Dad came home and Mom yelled at him to get me and the dog out of the house. He had no idea why she told him to do this, but he took us to a neighbor's house. When he came back the squirrel was in our living room. He called the cops in the hope that they'd send over animal control. The cops came and pulled out a pistol in our living room 8O My Dad screamed at them and went to get a shovel from the garage. He hit the squirrel over the head, it ran up the cops pants, then up the drapes and died behind the couch. To this day, Mom is TERRIFIED of squirrels (30+ yrs ago).

By the way, two of my Mom's neighbor's who live in the 3rd story condos, have had squirrels come into their kitchens this year! They live in the trees and head for bread loaves that are sitting on the counters. Mom is terrified I'm going to scare the crap out of her and send her these pictures. She's going to be pissed!
That's mean  Sounds like fun  I would do the same thing... LOL

However, this squirrel is more of a problem than I thought... he finally got away from the window, and one of the kids came running downstairs to tell me it is in the attic. I went outside and looked up, there is a hole in the soffit (not sure if that is actually what it's called) and they've pulled some insulation out and thrown it on the lawn. I now wonder if this maybe explains all the electrical problems this house has 8O

Very well could be.
My ex-husbands parent's house had squirrels upstairs.
They also got in through the soffit vents.
The caused a LOT of damage.
My ex-father-in-law was putting out humane traps.
He would trap them and drive them 20 minutes away.
We'd start hearing more squirrels before he would even get back.
We would kid him that they squirrels hitched a ride back with him in the truck bed. He was not amused.

Stacy,
Your story was so funny!

Ok so now my Squirrel stories.......
I was either 6 or 7 yrs old and playing at my best friend David's house.
We decided it would be cool if we could have a squirrel as a pet. There was one that seemed quite friendly.
Somehow, can't remember the details. I think I held the door to the enclosed porch open and David somehow got it into the porch area.
Next thing I know David shut the door to the yard and the squirrel starts going ballastic. It is climbing up the screens, running at like 100 mph.
What does David do to his little girlfriend. He leaves me on the porch and goes inside and locks the door. 8O
Finally David's Mom came out of the kitchen to see what all the commotion was about. She immediately let me into the house and I believe spent the next 20 minutes trying to get the squirrel out of the porch area.
We got in a lot of trouble  No more playing with squirrel after that.

I was on a trip in High School to the Bronx Zoo. I think I was around 16 yrs old. I had never seen a black squirrel before, but they had a bunch of them at the zoo running free. I was walking with my friends and I noticed there was a black squirrel that seemed to be following us. I told my friends that it was following us. I don't think they believed me, but we had walked a bit of a distance and my friend said, "OMG, he is following us!"
He was walking on the path right behind us. When we would stop walking he would stop and looking around. Like we couldn't see him if he wasn't looking at us. We were laughing so hard. He followed us for the next half an hour, until we finally gave him the slip after we went into the reptile house. When we first went into the reptile house I poked my head back out of the door to see if he was trying to follow us. He was standing there like someone who was following us, trying not to be very obvious, but it was very obvious.....we had a stalker squirrel
My teacher told us that the animals at the zoo have been brought up around people and were not afraid of them. So the birds and squirrels would go right up to people 8O Still makes me laugh when I think about it.
I fell in love with that little critter!!! Especially the photo of him looking at you with his face pressed against the glass. Who knows? Maybe he's smitten? :hearts: In that case, I'd see it as a heart warming thing. Wish a squirrel would appear at my window like that. Very cute!

Marianne and the boys
He's really kind of cute. :D I think you should take Tove up on her offer to trade you a moose for it. :D
