Here is a once in a lifetime chance to invite a Pilgrim
and Indian for Thanksgiving Dinner.

Plymouth Plantation (Plymouth Ma ) is auctioning this
very traditional opportunity on EBay.

If you win, you will have

Edward Winslow

Edward Winslow was born in October, 1595 in Droitwich, England. He lived in Holland traveling to Plymouth on Mayflower in 1620.

Over the next 26 years, he served Plymouth Colony in various capacities, including Governor.

He returned to England in 1646
and died in 1655.

and

Hobbamock

Hobbamock was the Pokanoket Wampanoag man who acted as Massasoit’s liaison with Plymouth Colony, being their interpreter, guide and advisor in dealing with the Native
people.

He and his family lived adjacent to the English colonists (often called the pilgrims) from 1621 until his death sometime before 1643.

as your guests!

What a Thanksgiving that would be!

Or-if you are in the area sign up for Thanksgiving dinner and
celebrate at the Plantation.

(We stay awake at night here in Massachusetts dreaming up
these unique Thanksgiving celebrations Very Happy )
OMG! I'd LOVE to ahve a Native American and a Pilgrim for dinner. Do you think you serve red wine with that? Laughing

In all seriousness, I have a friend who is a direct descendant of one of the original Plymouth governors, Governor Bradford. While in art school, he couldn't afford to go home for Thanksgiving, so I invited him to have it at my house. So I've had a direct descendant of the pilgrims that landed at Plymouth at my Thanksgiving table; which is almost as cool as a Pilgrim and a Native American!

That's beyond cool! Cool
What a way to spend your turkey day!
Laughing Wow, some people will do anything for a free meal, even tho they've been dead for 350 years. Laughing Will he stay for the game?
is it only me? why would a Native American want to celebrate Turkeyday? the aftermath may not have been what his ancestors had anticipated Embarassed
